Social media’s vortex sucks those lacking
consciousness,
spewing them any which way,
stripping them of wherewithal, awareness
and agency -
vacuous, vain and vitriolic images, words
and ideas, notes of cacophonous material,
pretending to enlighten or
muse, amuse and bemuse;
cretinous creatures of mediocrity,
parochialism and myopia,
malinger from the industry of obtaining
wisdom and bonafide beauty,
so settling for solipsism, projecting it,
‘likes’ emulating ersatz inflate the ego.
